CURRICULUM

THE KINDERGARTEN

“You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.” Following this belief, we realize that the first few years are very crucial in a child’s life. These years set the tone for the entire academic life of the child. Bearing this in mind, the Kindergarten at Prabhat Academy is given utmost importance right from the stages of planning to implementation. The early childhood years focuses on learning through experience, interaction and inquiry. Classrooms are vibrant and colourfulcentres of happy activity pads. Our little ones are proud of their environment and are always eager to express their joy in learning.
The parents here get to watch their child constantly improve in their social, inter-personal, academic and vocabulary skills.
The children also enjoy their theme-related trips and fun outings, the memories of which they carry with them, even as time passes by.
The Kindergarten curriculum based on research has been exclusively.

THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Elementary education is the basis for the child’s successful future. Our child-centered approach is designed using the best global practices and has a holistic approach to learning. The Elementary School comprises Grade I to IV, and follows the model of experiential learning and inter-disciplinary approach to study and learning. The curriculum that has been designed for Grade I to IV gives a wide scope for the children to explore their interest and develop abilities to promote creativity, curiosity, determination, independence, self reliance, tolerance and team work. These qualities enable them to excel in all fields and learn strategies that will help them cope with varying situations in life. The curriculum tries to address the individuality of each student and doesn’t confine itself to academics. Sports and other activities are integrated to the curriculum.

THE MIDDLE SCHOOL

The Middle School comprises grade V to VII and is not only a transition stage in the learners academic life, but also ensures that the students have a smooth transition from middle to senior school.
The Middle School curriculum aims at developing critical thinking. At Presidency we believe that children must receive a thorough grounding of whatever concepts they learn and this learning has to be integrated with life with the motto being “maximum growth for each learner”. We have a self designed curriculum which has evolved after years of research and expertise. At Presidency, the programme of study followed and designed for the middle school takes into consideration the expectations at entrance level for high school. The program of the study followed at this level is also termed as futuristic learning and involves:

  • Thorough grounding
  • Development of critical thinking
  • Team skills
  • Effective communication through various activities such as Power Point Presentations, Debates, Elocution and Group Discussions.
